FSL Homework Toolbox - Help for parents with children in French Immersion

This takes the most basic user of the language through a series of topics and functional language the child would need to use the language in different situations. It has a "video game" type of functionality to it which can be attractive to some students. The student develops an ear for words and their particular sound which can help with their reading fluency in the end. The basic account (you need an e-mail address to get one) is free and parents can invest in the PLUS account.

This USED to be a free program through the City of Ottawa Library card. Looking at the site, it seems that parents may need to subscribe for a year. Please consult local library for more information on this. Tumblebooks has readers in English and in French. They can choose to read the book themselves or have the computer read to them (develop their listening while following along with the text). Some books have supplemental comprehension quizzes.
